I’m trying to activate my version of Windows Server but I’m having issues using my activation key. This key was working for me for the past 12 years when I first bought it but now it will not activate. When I called to activate the software the representative who was very nice, told me that I was activating windows xp.

I have attached my screen below to show that this is windows server R2 which is the same copy that I had for the last 12 years and key always worked without any issue.

Is it a sticker or do you have an online order, etc.? It was a sticker that was on the server. Unfortunately you would not be able to activate this in a VM.

If so what and where can I get it? Note: Please don’t tell me Ebay or Amazon! You wouldn’t be able to buy a key anymore as the software is now 17 years old and no longer supported. Your only options are to find a third party seller, or purchase an upgrade. This site in other languages x.
