The cure is to run AutoUpdate and uncheck the box the subscribes you to the Insider program. If you can get an Office app to run long enough to go to the Help menu, choose Check for Updates to launch AutoUpdate. Otherwise, use the link above to download a fresh copy and run it. Uncheck the box for the Insider program.

Install updates if they are available. Office users are not eligible for Insider builds. Only Office users will get new features going forward.
