I’m running an HP laptop and sound and built in microphone stopped working. I’ve tried refreshing Windows – it fixed file explorer errors, but not the audio.

I did something and widnows the audio working again until I restarted so I know it’s not a affinity designer add new artboard free issue. I’ve narrowed it down to the drivers but I’m not sure which driver I should be using and how to properly install it so Windows doesn’t install something over it again. Please advise. I’ve spent tons of hours trying to figure it out.
