Windows 10, 11 Action Center is missing: your actions? | DiskInternals

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 series laptop. I have tried updating drivers for network adapters and Bluetooth and my Logitech Bluetooth mouse. I made the services automatic for Bluetooth. Checked over and over for updates and restarted many times including several cold boots. It says it is installed but the next time I start my computer it says it is not installed and is waiting installation. Intel says I am up to date on everything. Then, for isolation purposes, we suggest that you perform a clean boot.

This troubleshooting technique will help us determine if there are applications, other settings, services that may be causing the conflict. Please check this article for the steps. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. We’d like to know more about your issue. Please answer the questions below:. Based on the original post, have you also tried using the built-in troubleshooter for your Bluetooth device?

If not, please follow the steps below:. Hi all! The troubleshooter says BT is not available on this machine. If I reboot, I can get the BT to work again. The BT icon no longer shows up in the Action Center. When I check settings, it shows that BT is turned off. But there is no way of turning it back on!!! Same issue as others, Bluetooth disappeared, even typing “bluetooth” in the start menu where it would normally bring up the “add bluetooth device” was not there.

At least knowing the bluetooth options are there, failed though they may be, means we’re not left wondering if something else came along and gutted our bluetooth devices and settings. I’d much rather have them marked with an X or an! I had the same problem as almost everyone here. I also read all your comments. I, too, tried troubleshooting. And hey, it worked for me. We’re looking forward to your response. In reply to Carlo Fer’s post on May 21, Further suggestions would be appreciated! Something seems to have changed in the recent Windows updates.

The BT mouse has been working fine for years, up until the last couple months. I’ve replaced batteries, tried clearing an re-pairing the BT, and all of the standard methods. The only thing I can do is reboot.

Same problem here! Same problem I’m having! I had the exact same problem. My mouse was acting weird for about 3 weeks or so. Below is what I did that helped me, hopefully it will help you to if you are having the same problem. I “ran” the bluetooth trouble shooter and it said something along the lines of: “No Bluetooth found, you need a external device to activate the Bluetooth option”.

I restarted my pc and went through my BIOS and found nothing that was out of the ordinary. My PC restarted due to me going through my BIOS, afterwards my headphones automatically connected to my PC and I confirmed this due to the Bluetooth icon being returned to the action center.

Like I said hopefully it helps, but I just think I got “lucky”. Good luck with finding the answer to this problem everyone. In reply to Lucas’s post on September 29, This site in other languages x.

The bluetooth action center icon is gone and there is no option in – Microsoft Community

In Windows 10, the Action Center offers a quick way to enable or disable Bluetooth. If you are facing the same trouble, the solutions in this post will help you. Here you will find 7 ways to fix Bluetooth missing from Action Center in Windows We suggest you read our special post regarding where Bluetooth settings are in Windows 10 and how to use them before you try the fixes mentioned here. That will help you in understanding more about how Bluetooth works in Windows The first thing that you should do is restart your computer.

Sometimes, the Bluetooth tile goes missing from Action Center due to a problematic Bluetooth driver. A reboot should fix it. The tiles or shortcuts that you see in the Action Center are known as Quick Actions.

They can be collapsed or expanded. When expanded, all the active ones are visible. However, when in the collapsed form, you can just see four of them.

The chances are that you might be checking the collapsed version for Bluetooth. So you need to expand Quick Actions to make all tiles visible. To do so, open Action Center and click on the Expand text. You can edit Quick Actions. That means, you can add or remove them from Action Center. So the Bluetooth tile could have accidentally been removed from the main view.

You need to add it again, as shown below. Step 2: Right-click on any of the Quick Actions. Select Edit Quick Actions from the menu. Step 4: Click anywhere outside of the Action Center or hit the Done button to save the changes. Step 2: Click on Troubleshoot from the left sidebar. Click on Additional troubleshooters.

Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process. Basically, you need to check if Bluetooth drivers are properly installed on your PC or not.

Look for Bluetooth. The Bluetooth drop-down will appear. We would suggest following method 3 of editing Quick Actions to check for Bluetooth tile after following this method. Often, Bluetooth missing from the Action Center happens due to old or problematic Bluetooth drivers. So you need to update them or uninstall them as shown next. Inside Device Manager, click on Bluetooth to expand it. Then right-click on each entry one-by-one under Bluetooth and hit Update driver.

Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver. Once all drivers are updated, restart your computer. To do so, open Device Manager. Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter under Bluetooth. Select Uninstall driver from the menu. Alternatively, simply restart the PC to let your computer automatically install the Bluetooth drivers. We hope the above solutions would have come in handy in making Bluetooth appear in the Action Center. Once Bluetooth is back in Action Center, you can rearrange the tile to keep it at your preferred position.

For that, right-click on the Bluetooth tile and select Edit Quick Actions. Then drag the Bluetooth tile to the new position. Next up: Curious to know about Bluetooth profiles? Check out what is meant by Bluetooth profiles from the next link.
